Home Gardening with mobile technology

According to the world bank collection of development indicators, women contribution to the employment rate in Sri Lanka remains below 50%. Sri Lanka is a country with male dominant families and after the marriage, women are compelled to look after children and play a house wife`s role. In villages many women engage in home gardening work, anyway it is not developed to the commercial level. However, during the lock down period of the country, many people including urban areas realized the importance of home gardening as a post corvid lesson and focused on it. This is a good opportunity to improve the women participation in this sector. LEVENS is prepare to introduce mobile technology in home gardening with the intention of creating 1000 women entrepreneurs in the selected regions, and finally to support the livelihood and economic development of the country.
